Most of the people who are suffering from excessive masturbation addiction generally face hard times remembering things.
If you are also encountering difficulties in memorizing small things, then this could be the sign that you are suffering from the illness caused by PMO, and you need rest from all this nonsense.
When we watch porn, we consume all the figures/scenes/parts showing in porn videos like a sponge. We fill our brains with the porn garbage.
With that garbage inside, it becomes really difficult for a person to consume and remember things that are important for him and his future.
Effects Of Porn On Memory
According to a new study, Watching porn can interfere with short-term memory.
The study is the first to investigate the influence that processing pornographic pictures has on working memory.
The part of the brain accountable for keeping the information in the mind while using it to complete a task, working memory is important for understanding, reasoning, problem-solving, and also decision making.
A study done in Germany, asked 28 men, all heterosexual and averaging 26 years of age, to look at some computer images.
Some of them were pornographic and some were not.
The nonsexual images included photographs of people doing some activities, such as giggling, playing sports, or carrying a weapon.
As the volunteers saw the pictures, they touched a “yes” or “no” key to indicate whether or not the image they were seeing was the same as one they had seen four slides before.
The men logged a notably greater number of inaccurate answers when they viewed the porn than when they saw the nonsexual images.
On average, they answered correctly 67 percent of the time when they viewed pornographic pictures but 80 percent of the time when they saw the nonsexual pictures.
Their recollection of porn was poorer even as the men acknowledged feeling higher levels of sexual arousal and an increased urge to masturbate when they looked at the pornographic pictures than when they viewed the nonsexual images.
“Sexual arousal interferes with working memory, an important facet of executive functioning,” said study author Christian Laier, a graduate student studying under psychologist Matthias Brand at the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany.
The study was published in November in the Journal of Sex Research.
According to the researchers, the findings could help psychologists understand why some people with Internet pornography addictions forget to sleep, miss appointments, shirk job responsibilities, and neglect relationships.
“Sexual arousal and its impacts on cognitive processes might explain parts of these negative effects,” the researchers wrote.
Previous research has linked the processing of pornographic pictures with areas of the brain responsible for emotion, arousal, and attention.
Because the current study focused solely on heterosexual men, it is impossible to say whether the findings would apply to gay men or women.
“This study is the first step,” Lanier said. “Our results need to be tested concerning gender and sexual orientation to verify.”

Procrastination Increases When You Ejaculate Often!!
Procrastination is something that has to be stopped if you want to achieve something great in your life.
But compulsive masturbation elevates the level of procrastination in you, drastically.
You will start to give promises to yourself like tomorrow it will be different than this, from tomorrow, I will definitely work, from tomorrow, I’ll quit masturbation, but ultimately, you’ll not do any of these things, instead, you will wait till the very end when the deadline is near.
I’ve been in this stage, and I know very well what people feel while going through all this.
Since I quit watching porn and masturbation. I feel more energetic, I work more, and also, I have observed tremendous growth in my income, and I guess that is because of the energy that I am getting after quitting the habit of PMO. Now, there is a positive vibe that helps me keep growing.
When I used to masturbate daily, I used to think negatively most of the time. Negative minds generally perform poorly every time.
The study found that a habit of prolonged negative thinking diminishes your brain’s ability to think, reason, and form memories. Essentially draining your brain’s resources.

Memory Exercises That You Can Do While Practicing Semen Retention/NoFap
These below are scientifically proven methods to boost your brain strength. These steps are pretty easy to follow, and I know most of you follow these steps regularly, but you don’t know about them.
1: Tai Che Exercise
Tai Che exercises are insanely beneficial for health. It could boost your physical as well as mental health if someone does it regularly.
Taking up a regular practice of tai chi can further reduce stress, enhance sleep quality, and increase memory. A 2013 study found that long-term tai chi practice could cause structural changes in the brain, resulting in an improvement in brain volume.
Beginners do it best by taking classes to learn different movements. But once you know the basics of it, you can practice tai chi anywhere, anytime.
2: Learn A Language, A New Language
A study done in 2012 found that bilingualism can contribute to better memory, improved visual-spatial skills, and higher levels of creativity.
Being fluent in more than one language may also help you switch more easily between different tasks, and delay the onset of age-related mental decline.
3: Meditation And Yoga
I have written a post in which I have discussed all the possible benefits that someone can get by practicing NoFap and well as Meditation & Yoga. You can read it by clicking it here.
4: Listening Or Playing Music Is Proven Way To Improve Memory
It is one of the easiest and best methods to increase brain power.
A study done in 2017 found that listening to happy tunes helps generate more innovative solutions compared to being in silence. This means, cranking up some feel-good music can help boost your creative thinking and brainpower.
And if you want to learn how to play music, now is a great time to start because your mind is capable of learning new skills at any point in your life.
5: Solve Jigsaw Puzzles
Whether you’re putting together a 1,000-piece image of the leaning tower of Pisa or joining 100 pieces to make Mickey Mouse, working on a jigsaw puzzle is a great way to strengthen your brain.
Research has shown that doing jigsaw puzzles improves multiple cognitive abilities and is a protective factor for visuospatial cognitive aging.
In simple words, when putting together a jigsaw puzzle, you have to look at different pieces and figure out where they fit within the larger picture. This can be a great way to challenge and exercise your brain.
